Two mile time results
Awesome job out there on a hot day!
Things to remember - you did your best for that moment, that day, and you should be proud of your effort, every race is different for everyone for so many reasons. We do this as a gage, not to make cuts, not to punish ourselves but to see where we are at time wise and feeling wise. What felt good, what felt hard, where did it feel hard, what did you do when it got hard, did you say positive things to yourself or did you get down on yourself. Did you remember all the work you have already put in, that no matter the results you are already doing more than most and that you deserve to be proud of your race regardless of the time. This is how we develop race strategy for this season, think about what you could do to help yourself, and what parents/teammates/coaches can do for you. Time trials/this firs race experience we leave you alone, no course talk, no strategy talk, just you go run. Now based off that run we figure out your season plan, your race mantra, your training paces.
Even if you aren't proud of your time, be proud of the effort, you control that.
