marin county athletics league championships!
Congratulations on making it to MCAL Week!
Our athletes have trained all season following a detailed practice plan balancing, mileage and intensity, tempo and speed work, and mental and physical toughness, our season plan allowed for athletes to feel like they are peaking and will allow for fast races on Wednesday and for our top going to NCS and State beyond. They are well prepared for this Championship meet and I'm so excited to see them run.
MCAL Spectators from Meet host:
We ask that all spectators respect the wishes of the course monitors. Spectators are not allowed below the lower gate near the 4-way intersection, as well as on the road to the quarry. We thank you for your cooperation. Also, the course is NOT closed, so there will be walkers, horses and dogs. It is important that we treat the public with kid gloves so that we don't get any complaints, which makes getting permits more difficult next season. DO NOT bring dogs to the race.
Team Dinner 11/7: practice start 4pm, dinner 5:30-6:45pm in the CEA
We would love to put on a team dinner on Tuesday night after practice, this helps athletes bond and focus before the meet and insure everyone is eating before the race. Please sign up and help feed these runners. We need PASTA, salads, bread, dessert, and water. We will have about 80 kids eat who will have just finished a run. 5:30 pm is the intended start time for the dinner.

MCAL Volunteers:
All schools share responsibilities in putting on this meet, Redwood needs to supply 6 total course monitors. All course monitors report at 1:45 pm and then work a race shirt, 3 for the 2:15 and 2:45 meets and 3 during the 3:30 and 4 pm meets. If you can please fill out the google form so I can let Warren from TL know as he is coordinating monitors. This help is truly appreciated and mandatory for Redwood's participation in this race.
